Abstract & Analysis
This health policy study examines the National Health Mission (NHM) implementation and rural health infrastructure in Manipur, contrasting upland hill districts like Churachandpur (predominantly Paite and Hmar) with valley districts.
Using primary in-depth interviews and secondary National Sample Survey data, the research details out-of-pocket medical expenses, human resource deficits, and healthcare access dynamics across rural tribal communities.
